Bard in the Valley: Taming of the Shrew

T7 Bard in the Valley 2015We are thrilled to partner with Bard in the Valley again this year at our South Langley winery on the delightful Shakespearean battle of the sexes comedy, the Taming of the Shrew.

A humourous play about married life, the Taming of the Shrew is classic Shakespeare with disguises, deception, courtship, marriage and plenty of slapstick humour along the way. One of his most controversial plays for modern times, it lampoons chauvinistic behaviour while simultaneously reaffirming its social validity, as well as celebrates the quick wit and fiery spirit of its heroine even while reveling in her humiliation. Is it too 16th century retro for modern times? You decide…

Bring a picnic, come a bit early and enjoy Township 7 wines in our alfresco production. Please note, this is an outdoor performance, please dress weather appropriately. Rain or shine. Tickets are available at our South Langley winery, please call 604-532-1766 or email
