7 Blanc 2009

We love creating this blend that represents the uniqueness of the Naramata Bench terroir. The wine’s grapes are grown on our own property in the rolling hills east of Penticton. Off dry and exotic with tangerine citrus notes, pear and lychee in the nose. The taste is of pears, peach, mandarin orange, hints of walnut and some tropical spice. The finish lingers with yellow raisin and fig. Enjoy with sushi, Indian or Thai dishes, and mild, creamy cheeses.

Black Dog 2006

Two of the more traditional ways to tame a big red blend is time and new oak. We used both. This version of Black Dog was aged 40 months in new French and American oak. We feel the result is justified: blackberry, currant, cassis, cedar box and leather on the palate and an aroma rich with cocoa and fig. Share with the most deserving friends and cook them something wonderful.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

Aging in French and American oak barrels for over 22 months has created a rich and harmonious palate of dark berry and exotic spice notes that mesh with the bold structure common to this varietal. Sourced from our most southerly sites, this blend includes a touch of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. You might experience aromas of plum and cherries with subtle mint and leather. Flavours of cherry preserves on the palate, with hints of cardamom, caramel and vanilla. Unfiltered. Enjoy with prime cuts of beef and big game, full flavoured cheese and other robust fare.

Blueberry, cherry and cranberry dominate the fruit spectrum. The nose has a spice note of singed toffee that distinguishes this vintage from others. The mouthfeel is clean and precise; tannins are balanced yet assertive. This wine promises many years of faithful cellar development.

Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

A classic French pairing of grapes that complement each other beautifully. While Merlot dominates the blend, the Cabernets provide their own unique contributions. Aromas of blueberry, pomegranate and a sprinkling of cocoa dust start things off with flavours of chocolate-wrapped cherries and black olive in the palate. Cherry licorice rope in the finish! Ready to drink on release but look for some interesting developments if you choose to cellar it over the next five years. It’s ideal with grilled meats and select aged cheeses.

Rose 2008

The fresh fruity flavours of a white with the slight tannic effect of a red. What a wonderful combination. The first sniff offers a combination of gooseberry and floral notes. Take a sip and you will find an overall impression of fresh summer berries joined with the slightest hint of rhubarb and peach cobbler. A slightly off-dry wine ready for chilling on the patio or try with grilled salmon, roasted ham, fresh green strawberry and goat cheese salads or spicy Asian dishes.

Sémillon 2008

Sémillon naturally creates notes of lemon, lime or green apple but this cool climate wine has much more complexity. The nose offers scents of melon, rose and diesel while the palate entertains stone fruit and spice with a finish of lingering honeydew. We added 5% Sauvignon Blanc that contributes some crisp citrus notes throughout.

Syrah 2007

The 2007 vintage is our first Syrah co-fermented with a small percent of Viognier, which softens the structure and enhances the aromatic aromas. A medium-bodied red that is juicy and lush, bursting with black cherry, clove and a hint of white pepper on the nose and raspberries, dusty cocoa and wild herbs on the palate. We expect excellent aging capabilities until 2014. Suggested food pairings include wild game, roasted lamb, creamy pastas, and sheep’s milk cheeses.
