Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Tasting Notes:

Blended from two famous vineyards on the east side of the Oliver-Osoyoos bench, this Sauvignon Blanc has a nose that erupts with distinct kiwi, gooseberry, passion fruit and lime characteristics.  A hint of vanilla reflects the 16% that saw six months of oak barrel aging.  The palate is crisp and clean; it pairs remarkably with mussels, sashimi, vegetable crudités and other foods that enjoy vibrant acidity.  100% Sauvignon Blanc.

Vintage Report

A slow start to the growing season in 2010 saw a late but good fruit set.  The unseasonably cool summer was free of heat spikes with a dry and sunny autumn enabling excellent flavour development for our aromatic whites.  Picking began on October 3 and finished at both vineyards over 4 days.  The refreshing acidity of this vintage is well balanced with ripe tropical and lime fruit flavours shining through on the nose and palate.
