The cool people at Provost Pictures are having a DVD release party and screening for their feature film The Best of the Bottomless Lake. A comedic film about the the search for the serpent like creature, Ogopogo, who lives in the deep waters of our "bottomless" Okanagan lake. Some say it’s a myth, others say they’ve seen it. For Dr. Paul Moran, Cryptozoologist, it could be his ticket to fame and fortune and the validation he’s always been searching for. Follow Dr. Moran and his team of dedicated and not so dedicated adventurers as they embark on a hilarious and sometimes tragic expedition to prove the existence of the creature and change our perception of the world as we know it. Oh, and claim the two-million dollar bounty that goes along with it!
It will be the last chance to see the movie on the big screen in Vancouver, it is sold to a broadcaster (Superchannel) so will be available on TV if you get that channel. With a decent crowd it also means they could get close to breaking even on the film (help those starving artists out). So come watch the movie, while enjoying Township 7 wine - how very civilized...
They are also showing a selection of local short films to make it a full evening of entertainment. You will have a chance to vote for your favorite short film to win the Township 7 Audience Choice Award!
In addition, there will be live music by The Pucks who did the soundtrack for the film.
