Viognier for Labour Day

Enjoy the fruits of our labour this long weekend with a gorgeous white Rhone style wine. Our 2017 Viognier is now available at both our Naramata Bench and south Langley tasting rooms. A single vineyard wine from Osoyoos, our 100% Viognier is sourced from Raju Vineyard (formerly Romar Vineyard). The growers have over 30 years’ experience with this site, and have provided us with premium grapes that are a fabulously unique expression of this northern Rhone varietal.

Our winemaker Mary McDermott fermented the wine in 30% French oak barrels of which one was new, and 70% stainless steel tanks. Fermented wild, the barrel portion brings wonderful depth and roundness to the finished blend. The stainless component was fermented cooler, contributes bright fresh fruit to the aromatic profile and acidity that marries the blend.

The heady aromas are reminiscent of fresh peaches, passionfruit and honeysuckle. The lush palate is full of fruit flavour but dry with a clean, crisp finish.
